Commercial Manager- SC cleared- £200- £220 p/d umbrella or £150- £176 p/d Paye- Bristol- until October 2017

Key Tasks and Deliverables:

• Report progress as required on own workload and deliverables.
• Work with colleagues across all functions in the SDTs. These behaviours will support the SSCM in creating a systems and business integration approach.
• Develop own functional skills and specialist knowledge to meet all business and technical challenges.
• Work with the D as required if requested to move around the team due to workload issues or post gapping Outputs
• To be responsible and accountable for their own deliverables as agreed by C2 Inv or relevant lead.
• Reports to D Inv on measures that assure the quality of their outputs and meet safety requirements.
• Provide advice/assistance to D Inv, Ships/Subs operational and support staffs, design staff and other SPTs/SDGs as required
• Safety Indirectly facilitates and support safety activities or outputs through their inventory management function and interaction with Technical staff.
• The post holder must be fully acquainted with the Establishment's Health and Safety and Environmental Protection Regulations and procedures and complete all appropriate mandatory training.
• Deliver safe and available equipment by ensuring staff understand the SDT Safety Policy and how it applies to their inventory ranges. Inventory Management
• Suggest ways of improving the optimisation of the SC performance by the team including ideas for implementation to the band D
• Inform the D of any issues being experienced with the ordering of stock. For stock that is ordered complete the tools correctly to show realistic delivery dates and what finances have been committed.
• Reduce the number and value of orders past delivery date
• Ensure sufficient stock held for all inventory items by effective provisioning to anticipate demands.
• Become comfortable in the use of Optimised Support Planning (OSP) tools and the Inventory Managers Dashboard (IMDB), as required and complete tasks associated with these tools to the schedule given by the LM.
• Ensure that master data in CRISP is kept up-to-date.
• Undertake a reduction in total demands past required delivery date (DPRDD).
• Undertake a reduction of consumables requiring replenishment.
• Manage TLS items – 100% availability for consumables, 96% for others.
