Customer Service Adviser

Urgently looking for a Customer Service Adviser for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to start as soon as possible.

£10 per hour | Full time 9:00 am to 5:00 pm | RBKC

Ideally applicants should have a minimum of 2 years customer service experience and be able to provide references covering the last 2 years.

Duties include:

  • Meet and greet customers arriving at the Customer Service Centre ensuring they are directed to the appropriate service desk with the correct documentation.
  • Facilitate customers in the use of the communication systems we have on offer e.g. interpreting, Mincom, British Sign Language Video Link or Braille.
  • Handle anxious and stressed customers with sensitivity and help them explain their needs.
  • Dealing with Housing/Planning/Parking/Council Tax queries.
  • Processing Parking Permit applications and dealing Parking Ticket queries.
  • Providing information and advice on Housing options.
  • Dealing with Planning applications and general information.
  • Working within the Councils financial regulations and audit requirements, take cash, credit/debit card and cheque payments.
  • Undertake general administration relating to the receipt and posting of permits, recording
  • To use various IT systems e.g. IBS/Civica/ICPS
