Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an accountant to work for a council in the South Yorkshire area on an interim basis.

Key principal duties and responsibilities for the interim accountant post:

To carry out a review of budget control/ monitoring arrangements in a specific service area to:-

  • Understand whether they are in line with their existing financial framework and fit for purpose;
  • To identify any gaps/ shortfalls in the procedures;
  • Propose recommendations for addressing the gaps/ shortfalls and develop an action plan to improve future arrangements;
  • Provide weekly update reports;
  • Produce a final report to management outlining the issues, recommendations and action plan.
