Accounts Assistant

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work within a Housing Association in the East Midlands. As the Accounts Assistant the purpose of the role will encompass the annual preparation of service charge statements, maintenance or service charge data, preparation of year end accounts and budgets for leasehold schemes.

Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant.

  • Providing financial expertise and support on all leasehold service charge information
  • To develop, collate and maintain accurate and appropriate leasehold and other housing accounting records
  • Assisting in production of annual budgets
  • Producing returns and reports for leasehold and housing schemes
  • Liaising with external and internal auditors
  • Identifying improvements that can be made to the process and contribute to development of service charge accounting and housing management systems

The successful candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • Financial Management experience in financial or management accounting
  • Working with finance It database systems
  • Highly experienced in using excel spreadsheets to manipulate and analyse large data sets
  • The ability to work effectively as a team member
  • The ability to display initiative and work without close supervision
