Implementation Manager (Children and Young People) - implementation manager, project management, Local Authority, not-for-profit, non-profit, financial capability, children and young people, education, grant management, contract management

Central London - £49,000 pro rata (fixed-term appointment until mid-March)

Implementation Manager - we are looking to recruit an Implementation Manager for a not for profit organisation who focus on supporting the public through providing an free and impartial advice service in relation to personal finance and debt matters. As an Implementation Manager, you be influencing the design and delivery of interventions which will provide new evidence of ‘what works’ for children and young people in relation to financial capability provisions.

Responsibilities
Influencing the design and deliver complex projects from end to ensuring that they are delivered on time, of quality and to budget. This will include:

  • Influencing the design and delivery plans for strategic interventions, using understanding of behavioural insights and child development
  • Providing subject matter expertise on improving children and young people’s financial capability, including identifying evidence gaps and providing advice
  • Securing and managing relationship of partners for strategic projects
  • Managing financial and legal aspects of delivery, e.g. grant agreements, budget forecasts, contract management
  • Working closely with the Children and Young People project manager to setup governance processes with partners, ensuring project roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and adhered to.
  • Ensuring key stakeholders are informed / involved in ongoing delivery to leverage its impact
  • Identifying, mitigating or escalating project risks and issues, completing project related documentation including briefing on projects
  • Carrying out post project reviews and ensuring that lessons learned are fed into the organisation's knowledge base.
  • Promoting sector wide sector knowledge and information sharing and learning.
  • Logistical lead for major events on children and young people strategy

Essential skills/experience

  • Significant children and young people delivery experience, including partnership working with front line deliverers, local government, funding agencies, the research community
  • Experience of applying behavioural insights and child development understanding to intervention design
  • First-hand experience and understanding of research and evaluation methods
  • Ability to make evidence based judgements in ambiguous situations

Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and grant or contract management experience
