Permanent position which is based in Swansea - competitive salary + gold standard pension + benefits

The Senior Business Analyst reports to the Head of Corporate Systems and is responsible for the application of tools and techniques to define and validate solutions that meet requirements for the applicable project. The scope of requirements definition includes business requirements (goals, objectives, needs); stakeholder requirements, solution functional and non-functional requirements and transition requirements.

You will oversee an Agile Project solution requirements ensuring that this project delivers benefits aligned to the organisations strategic plans. You will also support the Project team in the strategic planning.

Skills and Experience

You will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • An understanding of, and/or experience of working within, the BCS/ISEB Business Analysis Framework.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team working and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing competing senior stakeholder priorities and interests and providing effective challenge.
  • Experienced in facilitating workshops to define requirements and develop processes.
  • Experienced in process development and optimisation.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders (internal and external to the team).
  • Knowledge of MS Office (experience of using MS Visio is desirable but not essential)
  • Experienced in coaching/mentoring/ people management.
  • A working knowledge structured project management methods (for example PRINCE2).
  • A track record of leading and managing staff in the successful delivery of project results and outcomes.
  • Has substantial experience of dealing with senior users, specialists and service providers and is skilled in conducting meetings and team management contacts of all types and at all levels
  • Has sound commercial, organisational and time management skills
