Purchase Ledger Clerk

High-volume Purchase Ledger Clerk is required to join an extremely busy, proactive, purchase ledger team, in Bradford. The role is interim for 8 weeks initially, but the client is recruiting for the role on a permanent basis, so you would have the chance to apply and progress with the role on a permanent basis, alongside additional applicants.

You will be working alongside the purchase ledger team, providing an effective streamlined and customer-focussed service. You will be working to ensure that all purchase ledger, personal expenses and utility transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance to the company’s policies.

It is essential that you have Knowledge of Purchase Ledger, knowledge of internal controls, understanding of HMRC requirements, including VAT.

It is essential that you have good communication skills, you are computer literate, excellent excel skills and have a high degree of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail. It is also essential that you have high-volume purchase ledger exposure, and have previously worked for a large company, where invoice processing is the sole focus of your role.

Required skills and experience of the Purchase Ledger Clerk

  • AAT or CCAB part-qualified or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook with experience of using pivot tables
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise responsibilities
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, whilst able to take direction
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
