Research and Evaluation Manager – evaluation, impact, research, quantitative, qualitative, social research, financial capability, debt advice

Central London - up to £48,000 per annum

My client is a forward-thinking and dynamic organisation that is positioned as a thought leader in its field. They are now looking to recruit a talented Research and Evaluation Manager to manage, and lead the continuous improvement of our clients’ debt advice evaluation programme.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering an impact measurement framework for our clients’ debt advice commissioning strategy, including revision of the theory of change for commissioning debt advice; whilst also leading on the piloting of the impact measurement framework and evaluation tools with stakeholders in the debt advice sector, and identifying improvements, changes and additions as a result.

Essential skills

  • Experience in developing impact measurement frameworks, outcomes frameworks and theories of change
  • Experience of managing and delivering evaluation studies to support policy development and service delivery
  • Knowledge and experience of designing and using a range of evaluation approaches, including experimental designs, and a variety of quantitative and qualitative research techniques, questionnaire development and testing
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets
  • Experience of conducting evidence reviews to synthesise information from a range of sources
  • Experience of conducting research with different groups of people, and a good understanding of the methodological and ethical issues involved
  • Proven ability to communicate complex and technical information in an engaging and accessible way to a variety of audiences
  • Experience of managing external contractors to deliver successful projects
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to manage workloads and project schedules effectively
