Quality Initiatives Manager - debt advice, advice service, performance improvement, not for profit

Central London - up to £55,000 plus benefits (Pension, Private Health Care, Life Assurance, and more)

Quality Initiatives Manager (contract/grant management) - we are looking to recruit an experienced professional who has expertise in contract or grant management for a personal finance consumer focused organisation, who operate on a not for profit basis. Based in the company office in London, you will play a key role in leading on the development and delivery of a range of quality initiatives to improve debt advice delivery and client outcomes across the UK.

To support the successful and timely implementation of existing quality initiatives that form our clients' Quality Work Programme.

These include:

  • Accreditation of Standards, Training and Qualifications
  • Debt Advice Peer Assessment Scheme
  • Specialist Support
  • Information Sharing
  • Best Practice Guidance
  • Training
  • Best Practice Events
  • Quality Forum
  • Performance Management Framework


  • Lead on commissioned contracts and grant agreements from procurement to delivery, including internal financial processes and sign off procedures.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders including the Financial Conduct Authority, funded organisations, learning & development, accredited standards, codes, training and qualifications owners.
  • Working with Country Managers and Devolved Governments to ensure that quality initiatives fit and are taken forward appropriately.
  • Ensuring sector wide continuous improvement through identification and sharing of good practice in debt advice.


  • Contract/grant management experience in a similar environment
  • A broad understanding of the Debt Advice landscape in the UK
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in analysing data, drawing out insight conclusions and producing standard and ad hoc reports.
  • Proven knowledge of quality improvement/development or similar in a relevant area.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and planning skills.
  • Solid team player and experience of project working
  • Extensive communication and presentation / facilitation skills.
  • Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders and third party suppliers
  • Understanding of evaluation techniques and approaches
  • Strong proficiency with all standard MS Office applications.
