Finance Officer

Sellick Partnership are actively recruiting for an Interim finance Officer post, in Huddersfield, for a duration of 4 months. The Finance officer role provides financial support to the financial services finance manager in order to deliver the organisations financial objectives. The role requires an effective team worker with the ability to liaise with both budget holders and a shared service centre, in order to ensure that objectives are met.

Day to day duties include:

  • Manage the internal Invoice Query Manager Processes for the organisation, including user (Oracle) training, maintaining CCG processes for invoice payments and monthly reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Resolve routine queries for all sub ledgers, including Payables Ledger, Sales Ledger, General Ledger, Cash and Banking.
  • Raise and process Sales Orders using Oracle system.
  • Liaise with external suppliers to assist in the timely payment of invoices.
  • Ensure staff set up on the Oracle accounting system have access to appropriate modules on the ledger and are assigned the appropriate authorisation level for invoice and journal approval.
  • Responsible for production and maintenance of authorised signatory list, ensuring the scheme of delegation is followed and the list is frequently updated.
  • Actively pursue managers regarding purchase invoice authorisations and provide training for staff as required.
  • Responsible for establishment and implementation of procedures to ensure the organisation achieve compliance
  • Responsible for processing all urgent payment requests and CHAPs payments using Oracle system..
  • Assist in the production of cash flow monitoring.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the CCG Petty Cash float.
  • Responsible for production, maintenance and processing of Non Po accrual file. This includes clearance of non-pay error suspense; SLA advanced payments and VAT errors.
  • Assist in the production of Annual Accounts and other Statutory Returns as required
  • Liaise with internal and external audit as required and assist in ensuring that any relevant recommendations from internal or external audit are implemented.
  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations including control accounts, debtors, creditors and cash
  • Timely production of monthly download files from Business Intelligence for the monthly Reporting Workbook.
  • Responsible for producing information for designated budgets for inclusion in monthly management accounts process.
  • Responsible for producing accruals for Year to Date and Forecast positions for designated areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for explaining key variances to budget for designated areas of responsibility and hold regular meetings with budget holders for designated areas to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Responsible for monthly presentation and trend analysis in order to determine CCG’s potential financial risks & opportunities
