Networks Product Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Networks Product Manager to join one of our major government clients based in the North West. They are responsible for various areas including the immigration, counter terrorism and the Police. The role is permanent and can be based at either their Manchester, Liverpool or Southport office.

The role will sit within the Infrastructure and Platforms team who are responsible for providing over 34,000 staff with modern End User Devices that meet diverse operational needs, together with the supporting infrastructure that enables them to be effective in their job of protecting the United Kingdom.

There is a significant reliance on network services across the organisation and other agencies. With changes to cross government agreements to be replaced with self-developed products there is a need for a Product Manager (preferably with experience in Unified Communications / Cisco) to manage a newly evolving product set, manage product development, business arrangements, stakeholder management and product feature and backlog.

Experience required:

  • Experience of leading multidisciplinary teams in the successful delivery of products and iterative improvement of products through multiple delivery cycles
  • Able to develop an expert understanding of the users’ needs and champion these in the delivery of your product
  • Experience in defining, explaining and iterating the vision for a product that is compelling to your users, team and stakeholders
  • Experience of developing, managing and prioritising product backlogs to direct the work of the delivery team, making decisions based on data
  • Able to write good user stories
  • User and stakeholder engagement skills able to engage through a range of channels to encourage take-up and use of your product
  • Able to set measurable goals for your product and report against these to demonstrate product performance targets.
  • Agile product delivery management
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts
