  • *Digital Contents Manager– 3 month contract –£220 PAYE OR £250 UMB (Inside IR35)- London**

Our client is a leading Public sector organisation based in London and are looking for an experienced Digital Contents Manager to join there busy team.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

• Management of department social media channels – ensuring they are maintained and content is being shared effectively across the channels
• Contribute to campaigns that reflect the organisation’s priorities, and use experience and creativity to help make these successful
• Champion digital communications and provide advice/guidance to colleagues about the content development process in order to share best practice and raise awareness and build capability

Content Creation

• Delivers high quality content that drives engagement with the Department for Transport
• Create on-brand and high quality written, visual and engaging content
• Confidently film and edit content for use across digital channels. As well as create static imagery to support announcements using Adobe software
• Ensure content complies with the content strategy, publishing guidelines and best practice standards
• Work with digital and content colleagues to evaluate digital success and use the insight to inform future content development
• Working knowledge of Adobe software

Digital Strategy

• Create proactive content plans and coordinate the digital communications handling for campaign moments and announcements
• Use digital tools to identify and monitor influences and use data to inform engagement and content plans

Project Management

• Confident in managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment
• Build effective relationships with external stakeholders and influencers as well as wider communications and policy colleagues to develop high quality digital content and engagement plans to support DfT campaigns

Experience required for this role:

A communications specialist with a proven background of developing effective digital and multi-media content suitable for use across a range of digital channels and for a range of audiences.
Experience of building effective relationships with external and internal Stakeholders to deliver on digital engagement and content strategies.
Knowledge of how social media and digital channels are developing and where online trends are heading next.
Understanding of media relations and the role of digital channels in managing news announcements.
Demonstrate creativity and innovation to produce digital communications that stand out in crowded markets
Experience of developing different forms of content for a range of social/digital channels, for example info graphics, data visualisation, graphic and videos.
Experience and understanding of monitoring, analysing and evaluating digital content success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to adapt to different audiences and to produce optimised content for digital channels .
Ability to think on feet and deliver to tight deadlines.
Good political understanding.
Clarity of argument and concise writing skills.
