  • *Training Support Officer– 12 month contract –£31,660 salary-Public Sector–London**

Our public sector client based in London are looking for an experienced Training support office to join their busy team on a 12 Month Contract

The Training and Support Officer will assist with effective use and uptake of technology solutions
across the business through the provision of training and support. The role is essential in realising the full benefits of technology systems and instrumental in the roll out of new technology enabled business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively promote the use of good information management and technology practices and seek out opportunities for people to use knowledge and information systems more effectively;
Provide the training, awareness and uptake of applications and technology enabled business processes, in order to ensure everyone is able to access the information and technology they need to complete their job effectively, and the business continues to manage its information assets optimally;
Maintain system user documentation and training materials;
Conduct training needs assessments and deliver training courses to new and existing staff as required;
Support a network of internal “champions” to promote good practices and improve the quality of local support for each function
Implement initiatives, such as post-project learning sessions, knowledge capture interviews and centres of expertise in order to and share the collective know-how of the client
Ensure users fully utilise systems over time by running 1:1 and team support “clinics”, writing and publicising usage tips, FAQs, wikis, etc.;
Liaise with the developers to ensure that new enhancements made to systems are documented and effectively promoted to realise benefits;
Ensure that documentation is kept up to date and available at an appropriate level of detail;
Contribute to continuous improvement projects to constantly improve ways of working across the team and organisation;
Demonstrates competencies in line with the role level and be a role model for clients values.

Experience required for this role:

Educated to a degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level;
Demonstrated experience of coordinating work in a complex and challenging environments;
Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long term time frames and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly;
Strong customer service attitude, coupled with a strong empathy with the issues computer users have working with modern information systems;
Experience in designing and delivering training courses and “clinics”;
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Windows, and SharePoint expertise above that of an ‘average’ user;
Experience with agile delivery and development approaches and how iterative development impact training models;
Experience of developing training materials for an online Learning Management System;
