  • *Lawyer/ Solicitor – 12 months contract – £25.76 per hour PAYE - Government Organisation – London**

Our client is part of the Central Government team based in London, who are looking for an Interim Litigation/ Immigration Lawyer to join their team on a 12 months contract.

Key Responsibilities:
You will responsible for conducting your own demanding case load of litigation cases, providing robust advice legal advice in answer to complex compliance enquiries from external stakeholders. Case handling and management, draft pleadings, uses a process of analysis, planning, scheduling, prioritising, action, quality monitoring and review. Responsible for your own work with substantial degree of autonomy but knowing when to consult and delegate. Work closely with clients to acknowledge thier concerns and works to alleviate these in a way which balances client needs. Helps other team members to meet tight deadlines to preserve department’s reputation. Focuses on customer service and looks pro-actively for solutions. Keep abreast of legal developments and current thinking on related policy issues. Uses training and other methods to refresh and improve their skills and others.

Ideal experience required for this role:
Qualified Lawyer
Previous Litigation Lawyer experience is essential
Ideally have Public law experience
Demonstrate reliable legal judgement an appreciation of legal risk.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Able to make evidence based decisions.
Provide legal advice in answer to complex compliance enquiries from external stakeholders.
High quality advice on enforcement processes and procedures.
Support face to face negotiations to enable and where necessary enforce compliance
Share best practice and develop knowledge management.
Excellent IT knowledge and experience as well as good organisational and team-working skills.
