Overview:

As a Front End Developer, you will sit within the dev team working on greenfield projects for the Munich Re syndicate group.

The role

  • Translate use cases into functional applications
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications You connect yourself with our community of developers and keep yourself updated about internal and external technology developments and trends.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • As part of our DevOps mode (you build it, you own it, you run it), you ensure stable and smooth maintenance of the products within your responsibility.

Essentials

  • Degree in computer science or similar training and/or relevant working experience
  • Several years of experience in front end software development as a developer, in particular strong knowledge about clean coding, design patterns, and agile development practices
  • Background in frontend technologies, e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Polymer, CSS, HTML
  • 4-6 Years of strong programming background delivering interactive web sites and user interfaces.
  • Clear understanding of DevOps principles, preferably with VSTS and Git.
  • Experience with integrating with micro service
  • Know-how about TDD (test driven design), unit testing and automated testing (frameworks)
  • Dev skills for source code management: source control, branching, merging and code reviews
  • Very strong analytical and communication skills, excellent team player
  • Strong commitment, desire to work on teams and topics
