Senior Software Architect


Central London

Your job:

  • Delivering proof-of-concepts, pilot solutions and applications through hands-on development and expertise
  • Investigating of and consulting on major technology and digitalisation trends, aligned with business needs and demands and in conjunction with global communities
  • Performing architectural reviews, feasibility studies, impact assessments & other technical investigations
  • Coordinating the product life cycle for digital product solutions, i.e. design, implementation, deployment, support etc.
  • Acting in a Technical Lead Role in Innovation initiatives
  • Managing and leading external providers of development services where needed
  • Collaborating with the other digital teams


  • Creative, curious and innovative – always learning, exploring and anticipating technological challenges and opportunities
  • Advanced understanding of databases, database design, data transformation, data analytics
  • Experience in at least one of the following: mobile / web development (React / Angular / Javascript), cloud services (Azure / AWS), big data technology, analytics tools, NoSQL databases (Mongo / Cosmos DB), R or Python
  • Advanced development skills in one or more of the following: .Net C#, Java, SQL Server, SSIS, ETLs, Visual Studio and query tools
  • Expertise in using Frameworks and Design Patterns to create Technical Architecture
  • Expertise in Enterprise Architect and Team Foundation Server or similar IT tools
  • Agile Project skills
  • Pronounced analytical and conceptual capabilities coupled with the ability to present complex situations in a clear and precise way
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build mutually beneficial relationships
  • Communication skills – active listening, considered questioning and concise communication.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills – engage, elicit and guide the business and IT throughout the process
  • Organisation and planning skills – ensure effective planning, tracking and evaluation of projects
  • High level of commitment and flexibility in terms of area of assignment, willingness to master a wide range of topics
