The Company

Advantage Resourcing are working closely with a leading energy Oil & Gas company energy producer and supplier to recruit for a Contracts Co-ordinator to work a contract role for 6-12 Months.

The Role

To draft, review and send spot and term sales & purchase contracts, including deal amendments in close liaison with Commercial Advisors ensuring that they accurately reflect the terms agreed by traders as recorded in the deal capture system and mitigate any exposures. In addition, review and responding to non-standard counterparty contracts which may require directly seeking advice from the trader and the Commercial Advisor. Ensuring all trades are properly documented and acknowledged in a timely fashion

Main Duties:

  • Review, confirm and send contracts for BFOE Partials, full cargoes and bookouts. Be in close connection with the trading desk to ensure accurate trading positions and prices are known with all counterparties.
  • As and when required, handle physical documentation processing including Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin and Customs Documents.
  • Support the Commercial Advisors by providing pre and post deal support to the business, maintaining the contract clause database and creating fit for purpose contractual templates.
  • Support the Control Framework, taking ownership and accountability for operating the key SOX and non-SOX Finance controls that sit within Contracts

The Successful Candidate:

  • Contracts Coordinator experience within Oil & Gas is highly advantageous
  • Should be meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach and be commercially orientated.
  • Be a self-starter who can work independently.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work in an efficient and accurate manner, can prioritise, adhere to tight deadlines and can work under pressure.
  • Previous experience in an energy / commodity / derivative trading or shipping environment in a commercial, operational or contract administration role would be desirable
